Beginning Crochet with Annie - $60

Saturdays, Sept. 28, Oct. 12 and 26, 10am - noon

Skill Level: Beginner! No experience necessary!

Join Annie on Saturdays this fall for a deep dive into crochet! You’ll learn several of the basic stitches, and how to read a pattern. By the time these three weeks are up, you’ll be hooked! 

Shift Cowl with Mags - $40

Saturdays, Oct. 5 & 19, 10am - 12pm

Skill level: Intermediate: Comfortable knitting, purling and reading simple patterns.

The Shift is a shop favorite! This simple slip-stitch pattern creates a thick and fun piece that will  not just keep you work, but  perk up any gray winter day.

Learn to Knit - Knit a Hat! with Carolyn -  $60

Now starting Oct. 9

Wednesdays, Oct. 9, 16 and 23, 6 - 8pm

Skill Level: Beginner! No experience necessary!

If you have always wanted to learn to knit, this is the class for you! Hats are a wonderful teaching project because they incorporate all the basic skills into one small — and very useful — project! Winter is coming! Get your knit on!

You will learn: Cast on, knit, purl and knitting in the round on circular and double-pointed needles.

One-Night Introduction to Knitting with Margaret - FREE!
Thursday, October 10, 6 - 8pm

Get a little exposure without the commitment! Margaret will share some knitting fundamentals and give you a taste of the craft in this two-hour session. Also great for lapsed knitters who want to get back into it!

Montana Mountain Cowl with Carolyn - $40

Mondays, Oct. 14* and 28, 6 -8pm

On the 14th, class will run from 6:30 - 8:30

Skill Level: Intermediate: Students should have previous experience knitting in the round, and be comfortable knitting and purling in the same row.

Mosaic knitting allows us to make intricate designs using a very simple slip stitch technique. This latest cowl pattern from Andrea Mowry is a great example of how mosaic knitting is combined with gradient yarn to stunning effect! In this class you will learn other helpful skills too, including a provisional cast on, chart reading and kitchener stitch.

Socks on a Magic Loop with Carolyn - $40

Tuesdays, Oct, 15 & 22, 6 - 8pm

Skill Level: Intermediate: Comfortable knitting in the round

Every knitter should try magic loop. It’s a way to make a small tube with a long-cabled needle. Socks are one great application, but you can also use magic loop to make sleeves, gloves… anything that you would otherwise make using double-pointed needles! We’ll make little short-cuffed “Rose City Rollers” to get you exposure to basic sock construction and how it works on a magic loop. 

Gryer Shawl with Steph - $40

Wednesdays, Oct. 23rd and 30th, 6 - 8pm

Skill level: Advanced beginner: Comfortable casting on and knitting. 

This simple shawl is as flexible as it is beautiful. Create a speckled fade, or use three bold colors for contrast. A great first shawl pattern!

Bulky Hat Happy Hour with Carolyn - $30

Friday, Nov 1, 5 - 8pm

Skill Level: Advanced beginners who can cast on, knit and purl.

One night, one hat! That’s the beauty of bulky! Get set up with some super soft Merino No. 5 from Loopy Mango and a free pattern. We’ll provide refreshments, and If you stay for the entire session, you’ll walk out with a hat on your head and an itch to make several more to give away during the holidays!

Thrummed Mittens with Steph - $40

Wednesdays, Nov. 6 & 13, 6 - 8pm

Skill Level: Intermediate: Experience with double-pointed needles a plus.

These gloves provide the extra warmth you need for our cold Jackson winter. You'll use tufts of roving to "thrum" a little pattern on the outside that becomes soft insulation on the inside as you knit!

Crochet Granny Square with Annie - $40

Saturdays, Nov. 9 & 23, 10am - Noon

Skill Level: Advanced beginner: Have taken beginning crochet or have equivalent experience with chain stitch, slip stitch and double crochet.

Granny squares are a wonderful way to master your crochet rhythm, or just use up scrap yarn. A single square makes a great trivet, or stitch them together to make a blanket.

Garter Stitch Mitts with Carolyn - $40

Nov. 16 and 23, 4-6 pm

Skill Level: Advanced beginners comfortable with long-tail cast on and knitting. No purling needed!

These ingenious little mitts use about a half skein of worsted yarn and knit up in a jif. You’ll want a pair for the pocket of every coat! They’re knit flat, with simple short row shaping to create the thumb hole. These look great with multicolor yarn! You will learn: Provisional cast on, short-row shaping, kitchener stitch.

Christmas Stocking with Carolyn - $60

Wednesdays, Nov. 20, Dec. 4 and 11, 6 - 8pm

Skill Level: Intermediate/Advanced - Students need rock solid fundamentals and previous experience knitting in the round on a circular needle. Make an heirloom for you or someone you love. These wonderful kits are a holiday favorite. If you’ve never made a sock, you’ll get a sense of how they work with this oversized model. Kits include everything but the needle and are made with rustic yarn that will hold up year after year hanging by the chimney with care. 

New This Fall! Walk-In Help EVERY Monday!

Starting September 23, Carolyn will be at Knit on Pearl from 12 - 2 every Monday to help you with your knitting questions and challenges. As always, quick fixes are free. There will be a small charge for more complicated conundrums, based on how long it takes to get you moving forward again.
