Online registration now available. Just click on either "deposit" or "paid in full" - whichever you would prefer - in the drop down menu and add it to your cart. You may register for more than one class at a time. Be sure to register for the correct class dates for classes with multiple sessions. A $10 deposit is required to reserve your place in class. You may also pay in full if you wish to get it out of the way!

Beginner Knitting $100
Wednesdays, Feb. 17-Mar. 10, 6-8 PM Sarah
Learn the basics of knitting: knit and purl stitches, decreases, increases, cast-on, bind-off, gauging, pattern reading, stitch holding, and picking up stitches. We will also cover yarn selection and future projects. You will begin with a practice swatch and finish this four-week class with fabulous regular or fingerless mittens! Materials included.

Lace Scarf Sampler $85 NEW FOR WINTER 2010!

Learn a variety of lace techniques, all laid out beautifully in a scarf. Using the luxurious Superior yarn, which is a blend of cashmere and silk, we will go over six different popular lace stitches, including horseshoe, eyelet, flame chevron, diamond mesh, the cloisters, and twin leaf. Yarn included, bring your own size 6 needles. Register online below!

Felted Bag Class $45

Make a cute purse using the Fiber Trends gelato pattern! Learn new techniques including i-cord, make one increases, and joining with a 3-needle cast off. Go home with instructions on how to felt your new bag and show it of faround town! Pattern included; yarn and needles should cost around $40.

Baby Sweater $65

Whether you are a sweater veteran, or a first-timer, this beautiful baby cardigan is a joy to knit. Learn the fundamentals of sweater construction in this three-session class, including picking up stitches and making beautiful seams. This three-part series teaches you how to knit on circular and double-pointed needles. You will make a thick, cozy hat each evening! The first session focuses on basic skills, while the second teaches the magic rib techniques. The last class adds cabling to this pattern. Basic skills required: cast-on and knit. Bet you can’t knit just one! Materials included, all on size 15 needles with super bulky yarn. Take two of the classes for $100, or all three for $145.

Needle Felting $40

Learn to paint with wool! Needle felting is a great way to embellish your knitted, felted, and sewn projects. Learn the basics of needle felting in this one-night class. Come explore the endless possibilities! For the intermediate knitter. Needle felting materials included.

our schedule? Bring any project -- or two or three -- and get guidance through the difficult spots. You’ll not only work through your own patterns, but you’ll learn from other students’ choices!

 

Knit to Fit $40
Sundays, Feb. 21 & 28, 4-6 PM Carolyn
Patterns are written for “average” bodies, but who has one of those?! Learn how to take accurate measurements, then knit shorter, longer, bigger, smaller, or even in a different gauge! You’ll leave this class with the tools to make any pattern your own. (Yes, there will be math... but just a little.) Please bring your own supplies: pattern(s) you want to change, paper/pencil, calculator, knit check, tape measure.

 

Top-Down Sweater $100
Mondays, Feb. 22, Mar. 1, 8, 22, & 29, 6-8 PM Dawn
No more sewing sweater seams again! In this five-week series, learn to kit a seamless raglan sweater in the round from the top down. Discover ways to customize this sweater by choosing body fit, sleeve and body length, and finishing. Materials not included; cost will depend on size and the yarn you choose. ** We encourage selecting yarn for this project upon registering. We are happy to place any special orders given advanced notice.

Fair Isle Hat $40

Learn this classic colorwork technique and make a colorful patterned hat. This pattern is great for your first Fair Isle project as it is simple to learn but looks complicated when finished - like magic! Materials not included.

Felted Clogs $60
Thurs., Fri., Mon., Mar. 11, 12, & 15, 6-8 PM Rebecca
Impress your friends and family with warm, felted wool clogs that everyone will want! In this three-night class, you will learn special techniques, like M1 and wrap & turn, that are commonly used in felting patterns. You will complete the knitting of your clogs, and then you just throw them in the wash for finishing! For the intermediate knitter. Materials not included; they should cost around $50.
Beginner Crochet $30
Thursday, Mar. 18, 6-8 PM Janie
Learn crochet basics or review them if it has been awhile. The class will cover how to properly hold the crochet hook, tensioning techniques, hook insertion, chains, slips, turns, single, double, and maybe treble crochet stitches. Gauging, counting, rows, and rounds. Whew! Materials included.
Second Night Crochet $30
Friday, Mar. 19, 6-9 PM Janie
Apply the skills learned in the beginner crochet class, or if you are comfortable with basic crochet skills, come learn something new! Learn to make a ski beanie using single crochet and make a pompom to decorate your beanie. Finally, learn to add a bit of color to your project and be on your way to finishing a crocheted cap! Beginner crochet class or basic crochet skills required. Bring yarn and hook from previous night, or pick up the supplies you need at the shop.
